Alex Ovechkin has dedicated his entire NHL career to one person

According to NHL Breakers, Ovechkin made a promise to his brother when he was little that he would go on to make the National Hockey League. His older brother pass away at the age of 24, when Alex was just 10 years old; take a look.
This is both heartbreaking and something so honourable that it's hard not to be emotional about. Not only is Ovechkin one of the greatest hockey players to ever lace them up. Something beautiful was born out of tragedy.
Ovechkin has almost accomplished it all in his NHL career and to dedicate his life's work, his Stanley Cup win and to name his son after his late brother is commendable to say the least.
