Arizona Coyotes General Manager makes a bold clam about next season

Among those signed by General Manager Bill Armstrong are Jason Zucker, Alex Kerfoot, Nick Bjugstad, Troy Stecher and Travis Dermott. In house, they re-signed Jack McBain to a two-year deal, Matias Maccelli to a three-year contract.
Last week, Armstrong was able to sign top prospect Logan Cooley to a three-year, entry-level contract, who was initially expected to return to the University of Minnesota for a second season.
In a recent interview with NHL.com, Armstrong said that the Coyotes can take that next step and play meaningful games throughout the entire 2023-24 season.
"Listen, we're going to have some challenges. We're going to have some moments we're not very good, but we've got an ability now to go into the ring from the first day of training camp. Now, we can take that next step. The next step for us is trying to play meaningful games the whole year and push to see how good we can become." Armstrong said.
The Coyotes are in for a tough test right off the bat in training camp as they'll be heading to Australia to play a pair of pre-season contests against the Los Angeles Kings in the NHL's first games in the Southern Hemisphere. They'll then open the regular season with four straight road games against the Devils, Islanders, Rangers and Blues.
