Chicago Blackhawks give Connor Bedard the best 18th birthday present anyone could ever ask for

It was widely expected that Bedard would begin next season as a member of the Chicago Blackhawks after being drafted first overall. Today, the Blackhawks confirmed it, wasting no time signing Bedard to a three-year entry level contract. The contract contains maximum bonuses which could see Bedard make nearly 4 million dollars per season.
Drafting Bedard is a huge step in the Blackhawks rebuild and should help the team return to contention in the very near future. Congratulations Connor on your brand new deal
