Former NHLer leaves North America after parts of ten seasons

On Sunday, it was announced that Quine had signed a one-year contract to play for Malmo in the Swedish Hockey League for the 2023-24 season.
"I am happy to be part of the Malmö Redhawks' upcoming season. I have heard good things about the city and the team and look forward to writing the next chapter in my hockey career in Malmö. I have played with many Swedes over the years and know that the SHL is a very good league that I think will suit my playing style very well. If I were to describe my playing style, I am mainly an offensive playmaker who likes to be on the score sheet. However, I also take great pride in my defensive game and want to help the team all over the court. I am looking forward to starting the season in Malmö and meeting my new teammates," Quine said.
Quine, a native of Belleville, Ontario, suited up in 106 games at the National Hockey League level for the Islanders and Flames where he recorded 26 points (ten goals, 18 assists), 22 penalty minutes and was a minus-five. He went on to add six points in 13 career Stanley Cup Playoff games.
