Insider reveals Jeremy Swayman's arbitration ask and if he wins it could cripple the Boston Bruins

Since the beginning of the offseason the Bruins have tried to come to terms on a new deal with Swayman, but unfortunately the two parties have been unable to find common ground. Ahead of their arbitration hearing Elliotte Friedman revealed just how far apart the two parties are on a new deal.
Arbitration filings for Boston and Jeremy Swayman — team: $2M, player: $4.8M
The Bruins are currently about $5,500,000 from the salary cap ceiling, with pending restricted free agent Trent Frederic still not signed. The Bruins also are in desperate need of adding a center to their roster after the departure of Patrice Bergeon and likely David Krejci.
If Swayman comes anywhere close to this amount the Bruins will likely have to make a difficult roster decision. With Ullmark already under contract and up and coming Brandon Bussi, the Bruins might have to make some tough choices.
