It feels like this is happening more and more frequently this year. With three incidents in the last month, another incident has emerged as VHL player, Damir Rakhimullin, suffered a badly cut wrist during a recent game.

As Rakhimullin attempts to block a shot he falls the ice. In a scramble to clear the puck one of his teammates skates comes up and slices his wrist. Rakhimullin immediately grabs at his wrist and screams out in pain as he tries to make his way to the bench.

As medical staff tries to get across the ice one of the workers fall before eventually being assisted by the players to the bench.

Both the medical staff and arena medics were eventually able to get the bleeding stopped enough that they were able to transfer Rakhimullin for treatment. He is expected to make a full recovery.
