NHL Insider provides an update on Auston Matthews future with the Toronto Maple Leafs
The Toronto Maple Leafs and Matt Murray are quickly becoming competitive in the Eastern Conference. Last night they posted a win over the Detroit Red Wings last night, 4-2 and bringing them within 3 points of their original 6 rivals, the Boston Bruins.
However, this doesn't sound like a scenario that would make Auston Matthews want to stick around, according to Nick Kypreos:Kypreos, known for his usual hot takes isn't sparing us with this idea that Matthews is on the outs with Kyle Dubas and Sheldon Keefe.
After last season, the fans are ready to run it back and win, while Kypreos is pushing this topic to cause a stir among the base.
Let's not forget his hot take regarding Mitch Marner:
«I'm sitting here going, I don't know if there's a fit. I think they should trade him, I really do. I think it's inevitable that they will probably move Mitch Marner. If you've committed to Nylander, Bozak, Hyman and Brown Marner would be a top three forward on most teams. He's never gonna be a top three with the Leafs.»
If anything Kypreos may have insider knowledge, but it looks like he hasn't hit on much when it comes to Maple Leafs players and management moves.
