The New Jersey Devils are going after this superstar defenceman

According to Eklund from HockeyBuzz.com, the New Jersey Devils have been in talks with the Vancouver Canucks regarding defender Quinn Hughes and what it would take to get him out of a Canucks uniform: take a look.
Eklund mentions he expects Vancouver to be busy as the off-season winds down, but that the Devils are the only one to bring up Hughes so far.
Hughes, 23, skated in 78 games for the Canucks las season, putting up 76 points including 7 goals and 69 assists. If New Jersey is serious about acquiring a Quinn, the cost won't be cheap.
The question is: will the Canucks entertain trade talks when it comes to the cornerstone of their defence? Who knows, but it's certainly something to keep an eye on as the off-season starts winding down.
