Toronto Maple Leafs Look to Add More Grit Via PTO

Toronto Maple Leafs Look to Add More Grit Via PTO

BY TJ TUCKER    SEPTEMBER 6, 2023  (11:10)
The name of the game for new Toronto Maple Leafs GM Brad Treliving has been grit. Treliving made some major signings in the offseason, all aimed at making Toronto tougher to play against. Now, he's done it again.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have announced a professional tryout contract for 25-year-old Noah Gregor. He is a former fourth-round pick of the San Jose Sharks in 2016.

Gregor has played 178 games in the NHL, all with the Sharks. In 57 games last season, the forward managed 10 goals and 17 points. He is coming off a one-year contract with San Jose that paid him $950,000. He has averaged 2+ hits per game throughout his NHL career.

PTOs are a great way for a team to round out its lineup with very little risk. If Gregor impresses at training camp, he'll get a full-fledged deal with the Maple Leafs.
DO YOU THINK GREGOR WILL GET AN ACTUAL CONTRACT WITH TORONTO?
