Pierre LeBrun of TSN & The Athletic recently sat down for an interview with Anaheim Ducks General Manager Pat Verbeek to discuss what the team may be planning to do this summer.
While Verbeek didn't come out and say it directly to LeBrun, sources have told the TSN insider that the Ducks are listening to offers on star forward Trevor Zegras, who had a tough 2023-24 season due to injuries.
LeBrun went on to add in his article on the The Athletic that the Montreal Canadiens have circled back and have engaged in talks with the Anaheim Ducks on Trevor Zegras. Although, LeBrun added that he doesn't believe the Canadiens will pursue Zegras aggressively.
Zegras, 23, was limited to only 31 games this season due to injuries, where he had 15 points (six goals, nine assists), 30 penalty minutes and was a minus-one. There could be plenty of interest in Trevor Zegras over the coming weeks and it wouldn't be surprising to see him in a different uniform by the time opening night rolls around for the 2024-25 campaign.
