The Boston Bruins made a major announcement on their star defenseman Charlie McAvoy after he was admitted to the hospital ahead of the 4 Nations Face Off Finals.

By beating Team Finland 5-3, Team Canada clinched their ticket to the 4 Nations Face Off Finals for a rematch against Team USA.
However, the United States could be forced to play without one of their best defensemen, as Charlie McAvoy's status is up in the air for Thursday night's game as he deals with an upper-body injury.
In addition, head coach Mike Sullivan revealed injuries to Auston Matthews and the Tkachuk brothers, raising concerns about them as well.
But McAvoy's case was even more worrying: he was admitted to the hospital yesterday, raising many concerns about the 4 Nations Finals and the last stretch of the NHL regular season.
After that announcement, many fans worried about his health and have been expecting the worst.
Later, the insider Pierre LeBrun hinted that the Bruins would share an update about Team USA's star defenseman.
In breaking news, the Boston Bruins have announced that superstar defenseman Charlie McAvoy will miss the final on thursday.
Injured players do all they can to remain in the action in that tournament. Representing their nation is obviously a huge honor and they want to go all the way with their fellow countrymen.
The difference with the traditional all-star games is obvious. Many players used to miss the all-star weekend because of injuries, whereas here, players are willing to compete through the pain to bring the 4 Nations Trophy to their country.
