Friedman spoke about the Bruins at length on today's episode of his famous 32 Thoughts podcast.
He did admit that he doesn't have a specific source giving him any information about this issue, but noted that the feeling around the team is that Montgomery's days are numbered.
It might not be the most convincing argument ever, but Friedman is usually pretty good about picking up on these kinds of things.
Furthermore, Friedman is not the only one who thinks Montgomery's leash is starting to get too short for comfort. NBC sports Boston reporter Ty Anderson believes Montgomery's departure from the team is 'inevitable' at this point.
Former NHL player turned hockey analyst Bill Lindsay also made a prediction saying that Montgomery would not last until American Thanksgiving.
The holiday always comes on the third Thursday of November, which comes on the 28th this year.
Admittedly, Montgomery did give off somewhat of a defeatist attitude after Saturday's overtime loss to the Ottawa Senators. After the game it seemed like he had already given up on this team, saying that he doesn't even know what is going wrong at this point.
At this point, it seems like everyone is starting to put in their predictions for when the Bruins bench boss will be fired, not if.
Be sure to keep an eye on the team as this story feels like a powder keg with a leak in it.
One spark could cause this who thing to blow up, and if it does the rest of the season could be spent trying to put the pieces back together for a Bruins team that was so dominant not long ago.
