Rumor - Insider reveals Patrick Kane may have found his new home
Unrestricted free agent forward Patrick Kane is getting closer and closer to a return to the National Hockey League after undergoing hip resurfacing surgery this summer.
The 34-year-old has been rehabbing from his surgery in Toronto over the last couple of months and is expected to return to game action later this month or early December.
While Kane has been linked to a number of teams including the Colorado Avalanche, Dallas Stars, Florida Panthers, New York Rangers, among others, it appears that he may have found his new team - the Buffalo Sabres.
According to Jeffrey Ade of Heavy Hockey Network, Kane is expected to sign a two-year deal with the Buffalo Sabres this week.
"It's going to happen sometime this week. Patrick Kane will sign with the Buffalo Sabres; two year deal in the $3.5-$4M per season range. #LetsGoBuffalo #HeavyHockey"
Kane, a native of Buffalo, appeared in 73 games last season between the Chicago Blackhawks and New York Rangers where he put up 57 points (21 goals, 36 assists), 16 penalty minutes and was a minus-22.
