This past NHL off-season was one filled with tragedy, with the entire sporting world coming together to celebrate the life and career of Johnny Gaudreau and his brother Matthew, while also morning an incredible person.
Since his tragic passing, we've heard countless incredible stories from family, friends, coaches, fans and former teammates, making the unbelievably tragic situation that much more devastating.
Now, those stories continue to emerge, with Johnny's sister Katie sharing this beautiful throwback photo, supported by an incredible story involving the star.
The story shows that when Gaudreau's team would visit to play the Philadelphia Flyers, he would stay at home with his family, another heartbreaking reminder of just how much family meant to No. 13.

While he was incredible on the ice, Johnny was an even better person away from it, and after all the stories about him, it's just as hard to deal with his passing than it was then, so hopefully he will continue to be honoured moving forward.
