The Chicago Blackhawks may have superstar Connor Bedard as their future, but with a lack of elite level talent around him, the expectation around the league was that they were going to struggle this season. That doesn't stop frustration from within the locker room however, frustration that continues growing after the team battled hard, but ultimately fell short against the Winnipeg Jets in their last outing, with the team still securing an overtime point for the defeat.
When asked about the situation, veteran defenseman Seth Jones had some things to say about the current team, and how things just aren't good enough to play well for 59 minutes, as you need a full 60 to win in the NHL.
That wasn't all however, as he would go on to chuckle when asked if this was the most structured the team has looked in a while, with Jones stating it's the best since he's been here.
There's plenty of ways to take Jones' latest comments, but given how many poor years he's been in Chicago for, it's safe to say that they are progressing, but perhaps not as much as a veteran that's ready to win now like Jones would like.
Jones would finish his interview with plenty of praise for goaltender Arvid Soderblom, who made an impressive 33 saves on the night, but if the losing continues, don't be surprised if the frustration continues to grow with Jones and other veterans in the locker room.
