Patrik Laine puts his Columbus condo up for sale
Columbus Blue Jackets forward Patrik Laine has his high-end apartment in downtown Columbus, Ohio up for sale, leaving many wondering what his next move is.
As noted by the Columbus Dispatch, Patrik Laine listed his Miranova condo for sale at the price of $2.75 million this week. That's around $22,000 a month on a 30 year mortgage after a $550,000 down payment. It appears to be his only home in the area.
"The two-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath condominium includes an office with a Murphy bed that can serve as a third bedroom.
The primary bath includes heated floors, a heated towel rack, a jetted tub and a sauna. The kitchen comes with two wine coolers, a bar area and a built-in Miele coffee maker." - Dispatch.com Laine entered the NHL/NHLPA player assistance program to receive care in late January. All that was said at the time was that he was out indefinitely. A recent update on Laine had him missing the remainder of 2023-24
Patrik Laine signed a four-year extension with the Columbus Blue Jackets back in 2022 worth $8.7 million per season. This year, he's played just 18 games after having to recover from a fractured clavicle. He was expected to return in January until the announcement was made that he was entering the player assistance program. Listing his condo for sale has some worried that his time with the Blue Jackets may be over, or that his leave will extend well into next season. He has two years left on his current deal after this season is over, with a modified no-trade clause allowing him to submit a list of 10 no-trade teams.
