Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals was one that was dominated by
the Edmonton Oilers, but after seeing veteran
Roope Hintz taken out in Game 2, the Dallas Stars dished out some punishment in this one.
The biggest moment of all for the Stars getting revenge came from Alex Petrovic as he took out Connor Brown with this massive hit that saw the Oilers key forward taken from the ice, not to return.
I wasn't trying to injure him... Just trying to make a hockey hit.
As a result of the hit, Brown will reportedly miss Game 4, which is a huge blow for the Oilers given how red-hot Brown has been helping them to the 2-1 advantage in the Western Conference Finals, and with incidents like this now in back-to-back games, it's safe to say that the intensity levels are only going up from here.
While Petrovic may have only been trying to make a hockey play, he clearly hit Brown right in the head, with many Oilers fans calling for the Stars veteran to face a suspension.
Ultimately, this just adds more fuel to the fire for Game 4 in Edmonton, which will be pivotal for the overall result of this series, and while the Oilers will want to win on the scoreboard, don't be shocked to see them try and get some revenge for Brown in this one.
