Tyler Seguin hasn't played in the NHL since December, but ahead of the Stars meeting the Colorado Avalanche, he's officially back.
The Dallas Stars will face their fierce Central Division rival the Colorado Avalanche in round one of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, with the Avs set to welcome back
Gabriel Landeskog for the first time in three years.
Now, the Stars will also be getting a boost, as it has been revealed that after being placed on Long Term Injured Reserve back in December, veteran forward Tyler Seguin will be activated right before their first-round series.
This is a major boost for a Stars lineup that has relied on their youth for much of the 2024/25 season, but with a veteran like Seguin back in the lineup before the post-season begins, he'll be a major boost to one of the best forward groups in the entire NHL.
After a few down years, Seguin was off to an incredible start with the Stars this season, posting 9 goals and 20 points in just 19 games played, and if he can be anywhere near that good in the post-season, this is a team to watch out for.
In 19 games played in the Stanley Cup Playoffs a year ago, Seguin posted an impressive 5 goals and 13 points, and with the addition of
Mikko Rantanen and the potential return of
Miro Heiskanen at some point during this series, the Stars are loaded.
Their first round series won't be easy however, with both Dallas and Colorado seen as genuine Stanley Cup threats, and with so much to play for, this could be the best series of the entire playoffs, with the return of Seguin giving the Stars a major added boost.
