Insider leaks 3 possible destinations for Stars' Jason Robertson
Jason Robertson's future with the Dallas Stars is uncertain, as NHL insider Pierre LeBrun reports GM Jim Nill is listening to trade calls on the 25-year-old scorer, even if the team isn't actively shopping him ahead of restricted free agency in 2026.
Robertson remains one of the league's most consistent young forwards. He posted 35 goals and 45 assists in 82 games last season, plus six points in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
But with the salary cap tightening and Dallas juggling contracts after re-signing Matt Duchene, his name is surfacing in trade discussions.
The Stars already moved Mason Marchment to the Seattle Kraken to create space, only to quickly spend it. That makes Robertson's situation one of the offseason's biggest storylines.

Finally, the Ottawa Senators were the first team tied to Robertson once reports surfaced. Ottawa is eager to return to the playoffs and could use a scorer of his caliber to push them forward in a tough Atlantic Division.
«Dallas isn't shopping Robertson, but they are taking calls, and with his contract situation looming, the possibility of a trade is very real,» LeBrun explained.
