NHL Network just put two Dallas Stars wingers among the game's absolute elite

The Dallas Stars enter 2025-26 with Mikko Rantanen and Jason Robertson both ranked among the NHL's top wingers, setting up a season of explosive potential.
The NHL Network has unveiled its annual «Top 20 Wings Right Now» list, and the Dallas Stars have two big names on it. Mikko Rantanen came in at No. 4, while Jason Robertson earned the No. 16 spot, right after Clayton Keller and just ahead of Alex Ovechkin.
That's a significant recognition, considering Ovechkin's legendary career and what it means to be placed in that company NHL.com.
Robertson's 2024-25 season showed both his consistency and his ability to elevate his game. He finished with 35 goals and 80 points in all 82 games. What stands out most is how he exploded after a slow start, only nine goals and 28 points by New Year's Eve.
Since 2021-22, Robertson has collected 151 goals, 197 assists, and 348 points in 320 games, including 109 points on the power play, making him the Stars' offensive cornerstone.
Rantanen's ranking is even more impressive given that he joined Dallas midseason after playing for both Colorado and Carolina. He still posted 32 goals and 88 points across 82 games, but his playoff heroics are what truly defined his year.
In Game 7 of the first round against the Avalanche, Rantanen erased a 2-0 deficit with a third-period hat trick, willing the Stars to victory.
He followed that up with a natural hat trick in Game 1 of the second round against Winnipeg, joining a very short list of players to score hat tricks in consecutive playoff games (Reuters).
With both Rantanen and Robertson set for a full season together, 2025-26 could be one of the most explosive offensive years the Dallas Stars have ever seen.
