The Dallas Stars are set to welcome back Roope Hintz for a crucial Game 4 against the Edmonton Oilers tonight, as Evgenii Dadonov is expected to sit out.
The Dallas Stars are getting a huge boost for Game 4 of the Western Conference Final. Centre Roope Hintz is returning to the lineup against the Edmonton Oilers after missing Game 3 with an injury.
He will slot in on the top line alongside Mikko Rantanen and Jason Robertson, while Evgenii Dadanov will be the one who sits out.
Darnell Nurse received a minor penalty for the slash but no suspension or fine
Hintz was injured in the Stars' Game 2 loss to the Oilers following a slash from Oilers defenceman Darnell Nurse. Nurse received a two-minute minor penalty but no supplemental discipline on the play was given by the DoPS.
Hintz was initially ruled a game-time decision by head coach Pete DeBoer after Tuesday's morning skate, leaving the door open to today's possibility that he would slot in.
The 28-year-old Hintz has five goals and six assists, for 11 total points in 14 playoff games this post-season. The Stars are currently down 2-1 in the series after a massive Game 3 loss on Sunday afternoon.
The Oilers will look to take a stranglehold 3-1 series lead tonight. If the Stars manage to come away with a win and tie the series, they will regain home ice advantage as the series shifts back to Texas for Game 5.
