The asking price for Jason Robertson has officially been revealed by top NHL insider

Jason Robertson has been one of the Dallas Stars' most consistent offensive forces in recent years, but could the team really move him if the right offer came along?
According to Sean Shapiro on The Sick Podcast - The Eye Test, Dallas has at least explored what the trade market might look like for their star winger.
Shapiro, a well-connected NHL analyst, said the Stars' front office has done its homework on potential returns, and they aren't thinking small.
«Yes, the Stars did look at what a return could be on Jason Robertson; it was always gonna be either for a roster player... or... part of some other bigger move,» Shapiro explained during the show.

Jason Robertson's trade value and why the asking price is so high
Robertson has been an elite point producer since his breakout 2021-22 season, consistently hitting the 40-goal mark and driving the Stars' offense alongside Roope Hintz and Mikko Rantanen.
Given his age, contract status, and proven production, it's no surprise the asking price is enormous.
As NHL.com notes, Robertson has averaged over a point per game in each of the past three seasons, making him one of the most valuable wingers in the league.
A trade package would likely require a high-end roster player, top prospect, and significant draft capital. Even then, Dallas would only consider it if the move dramatically improved their Stanley Cup odds.
«This is not about shopping him, it's about knowing his value if the right blockbuster comes along,» Shapiro added.
For now, Robertson remains a cornerstone of the Stars' attack, but knowing his market value gives Dallas flexibility if a franchise-altering deal presents itself.
I think any team hoping to land him should be prepared to pay a king's ransom.
