Dallas has long leaned on its farm system to complement its core of veterans, and this season may be no different. Several names already stand out as candidates to make the jump, whether as depth options or future lineup staples.
Arttu Hyry, Justin Hryckowian, and Lian Bichsel headline the Dallas Stars' AHL-to-NHL candidates
Among the most intriguing options is Finnish forward Arttu Hyry. Signed as a free agent in 2024, Hyry produced 49 points (24 goals, 25 assists) in 67 games with the Texas Stars, showing he could adjust quickly to North American hockey. His versatility at both center and right wing, paired with a heavy, defensive style, has made him an attractive option for Dallas. As one analyst put it,

Another player making noise is NCAA free agent Justin Hryckowian. His high-end hockey sense and offensive skill carried him to 68 points in the AHL last season, making him a potential scoring option if Dallas needs secondary help.
