Kane, 35, signed a one-year deal with the Detroit Red Wings worth $2.75 million after mulling over offers from several other teams, rejoining with a former teammate - Alex DeBrincat. The Buffalo native underwent hip resurfacing surgery in the off-season after dealing with hip issues for over a year at that point.
Last season, Kane appeared in 73 games with the Chicago Blackhawks and New York Rangers, putting up 57 points (21 goals, 36 assists).
