The Edmonton Oilers added to their forward group earlier this week by bringing in free agent Corey Perry to help with their depth and add a veteran presence to the locker room.

With the Oilers currently on a 16-game winning streak and showing no signs of slowing down, they've certainly worked themselves back into the contender category and could look to make some big additions at the trade deadline.

Chris Johnston of TSN suggested recently that the Oilers could be a fit for Jordan Eberle, a former player of theirs, Jake Guentzel and David Perron.

"The Edmonton Oilers have been connected to forwards Jordan Eberle, Jake Guentzel, & David Perron. Per, Chris Johnston." TheMug said in an Instagram post.

Eberle, 33, was a first-round pick of the Oilers in 2008 and went on to spent his first seven seasons in Edmonton before being traded to the New York Islanders.

In 43 games this season, he's put up 25 points (seven goals, 18 assists), nine penalty minutes and is a plus-three.
