Connor McDavid Defies Superstition in Bold Move After Winning Conference Final

The Edmonton Oilers started the Stanley Cup Playoffs slow, but now they are absolutely rolling, and with another big win over the Dallas Stars, they're off to the Stanley Cup Finals once more to rematch the Florida Panthers.

After taking down Carolina, the Panthers players stuck to tradition, not touching the Prince of Wales Trophy for winning the conference finals, but after doing so last season, Oilers captain Connor McDavid took a different approach this time around.

After their victory, the Oilers captain was very happy to lift the Clarence S. Campbell Bown, and now with both teams taking very, very different approaches, we will see how this effects Stanley Cup contending teams for years to come.

On the ice, the Oilers were once again dominant, winning their fourth straight game by a score of 6-3 after rushing out to a red-hot start, and even though the Panthers looked primed for back-to-back Stanley Cups, it's hard to deny just how good Edmonton have looked thus far.

At his very best, no one can stop McDavid either, as he has 5 goals and 24 points in 15 games played this post-season, and with the depth of the team really showing off in recent times, this Stanley Cup is well and truly up for grabs.

As we know though, hockey players are very superstitious, so the result of this Cup could change the way McDavid approaches trophies in the coming years, but at the end of the day, this team will remain incredibly confident going into their second straight Stanley Cup Finals.
