Connor McDavid Sends Chilling Postgame Warning That Signals Trouble for the Florida Panthers

Last year, the Edmonton Oilers were down 3-0 in the Stanley Cup Finals before coming back and pushing things all the way to a Game 7, and this season, they find themselves facing a must-win Game 4 as they look to avoid a 3-1 deficit this time around.

The 2-1 deficit they currently face comes on the back of a massive 6-1 Panthers win on Monday night in Game 3, and while many have started to lose faith in the Oilers, captain Connor McDavid has sent a clear and direct message ahead of Game 4.

Several times in these Stanley Cup Playoffs, we've seen the Oilers look down and out, especially in round one against the Los Angeles Kings, but once he and Leon Draisaitl lock in, there are few teams around the NHL that can stop the superstar duo at their very best.

However, the Panthers have managed to go up 2-1 with their two biggest stars in Matthew Tkachuk and Aleksander Barkov (a combined two assists in three games) yet to fire, so it's safe to say that this series likely still has some twists and turns before we see someone hoisting Lord Stanley.

We've seen McDavid lock in before, and if that happens, the Oilers and their fans will be confident it will be their team doing just that in 2025, and while Panthers fans should remain optimistic, McDavid's confidence in the face of a deficit should be something to excite all Oilers fans.
