Things got heated between the LA Kings and Edmonton Oilers on Monday, and now Corey Perry has responded to a major claim from LA's Phillip Danault.

The Stanley Cup Playoffs are almost upon us, and for the fourth straight year, it's the Pacific Division rivals the Edmonton Oilers and the Los Angeles Kings that will do battle in the first round.
We got a little preview of that on Monday night, but with the Oilers undermanned, they made some very dirty plays, leading Phillip Danault to say this about his opponents.
They just have their 'B squad' in trying to hurt us.
Unsurprisingly, some in Edmonton didn't take too kindly to this, especially veteran Corey Perry, who doesn't believe that to be true at all as he fired back at Danault on Tuesday after their defeat.
What the f**k? Excuse my language, but what do you want us to do? Did he not see what has happened over the last couple of weeks? What does he want us to do? We're not out there to hurt anybody.

Let's move on.
According to Perry, there was no intent to hurt anyone from the Oilers side in their lopsided loss on Monday, even after seeing Darnell Nurse drive Quinton Byfield's head directly into the ice after taking him down.
Sure, it wasn't the Oilers choice to run the lineup out there that they did, as they've been decimated by injuries in recent times, but it's hard to ignore the intentional acts that the team did while out there, and if they weren't intentionally trying to hurt anyone, then they certainly did it by accident.
Things between these two teams are getting heated, and with their post-season series expected to begin on the weekend, expect plenty more fireworks for seven games between them.
