Zach Hyman was taken from the ice in Game 4 on Tuesday night, and now it appears he's set to miss the next game in a devastating turn of events for the Oilers.
That task has become a little more difficult however, as Jason Gregor has revealed that star forward Zach Hyman, who was taken from the ice in Game 4 will officially miss the matchup for the Oilers.
According to Gregor, it's unlikely that he returns in this series, but with the team in a commanding position, there's a chance that they can put away their Western Conference rivals even without one of their most important forwards.
Hyman's value to the Oilers cannot be understated however, as the success of the Oilers is much, much higher with him on the ice, with these statistics going a long way to show just how valuable he is for Edmonton.
In this post-season, Hyman has 5 goals and 11 points in 15 games played with an impressive +10 differential, and given how well he plays alongside their top stars, he's one of the most valuable pieces on this team.
However, the Oilers have shown that they've got the depth to overcome almost any injury in 2024/25, and while he will certainly be missed in their lineup, if they can overcome Dallas in Game 5, the hope is that Hyman can return at some point in the Stanley Cup Finals, with an update to come in the next few days.
