Edmonton Oilers Fans Rip Kris Knoblauch's Delusional Take On The Series
The Edmonton Oilers find themselves in a 3-0 series deficit after losing 4-3 to the Florida Panthers last night. The team must feel the weight of the daunting task ahead but Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch still remains optimistic that his team can get it done.
Knoblauch during his post-game press conference:
"I think about the second period and how well we started, and we had a couple breakaways, some really good slot chances and then, you know, we don't score on those and I like where we were going after (Warren) Foegele scored that huge goal."
"We've had a 16-game winning streak. When things go well, we can really turn it, turn it up. And, you know, I think we've showed that we can beat this team. I think there's a lot of belief in that."
Anyone who has been tuning in to watch the series can clearly see Florida is dominating the play with Edmonton faltering. The Oilers powerplay has been ice cold producing 0 goals in the series in 10 attempts.
One fan on social media thought Knoblauch's comments were so outrageous that he might be under the influence of something.
Another fan's take on Knoblauch's confidence.
"Oilers 0-5 against the Panthers this season. How exactly have they shown they can beat Florida?"
The Oilers need a win on Saturday night or the Panthers will be hoisting the Stanley Cup in front of the fans in Edmonton at Rogers Place.
