Evander Kane Sends the Florida Panthers a Clear Warning Ahead of Stanley Cup Finals Rematch

The Stanley Cup Finals are almost upon us, and ahead of the Oilers rematch with Florida, star forward Evander Kane has sent the Panthers a massive warning.
After 12 months of incredible action in the NHL, we've arrived at the Stanley Cup Finals, and like in 2024, the two best teams in the NHL, the Edmonton Oilers and the Florida Panthers are set to do battle.
This time however, the Oilers have home ice advantage, and they believe they're better than last seasons team and ready to bring home Canada's first Stanley Cup since 1993 and the franchise's first since 1990.
That confidence has spread throughout the team, and ahead of Game 1 on Wednesday night, Evander Kane has addressed the rematch with Florida, showcasing that optimism about the Oilers chances of playing any style of game.
"You know, I think the way we've been looked at by a lot of people outside the room is, you know, we're this offensive team. And I think, you know, we've started to maybe change that narrative a little bit. Obviously, we can score goals and are a great offensive team, but you know, we can also lock things down.
We can also, you know, be hard to play against in the D zone. We can play a physical brand of hockey. We can play an in-your-face brand of hockey, you know, whatever game you want, we can give you. So we're going to play our game, and we're looking forward to that challenge."

Even without Zach Hyman, this is a team that clearly believes they can use their different styles of play to beat the Panthers, and while it's going to be an absolute war, the Panthers will have plenty to say about the result as they look for their second straight Stanley Cup.
With Game 1 on Wednesday in Edmonton, the Oilers have a chance to stamp their mark on this Finals series from the get go after falling 3-0 last year, and if they can take one or both at home, their confidence will only rise from there.
