The Edmonton Oilers saw a delay in their game on Saturday as a fan had a medical emergency, and now another fan has shared an amazing story that helped that fan.
Thankfully, it appears as though the medical staff on hand took care of the situation incredibly well, with fans in attendance noting how well everything was dealt with by the staff at Rogers Centre and the Oilers medical staff.
Now, one fan has shared a story on Facebook that could have very well saved that fans life, and if true (with the fan having no reason to lie), it would be an amazing story that turned out incredibly well for the person having a medical emergency.
FATE is when you give 2 of your best friends tickets to tonights Oilers game and as they are literally going to their seats a very tragic event happens in which a person has a cardiac event right in front of them.
One of my friends being a doc is the first on the scene to immediately administer CPR while my other friend goes to grab the defibrillator. Then along with the help of other medical personnel who immediately join in the effort, they are able to revive this person to the point where they can be safely transferred to a hospital.
Prayers that this person makes a full and speedy recovery. Had I gone to the game instead of my doc friend perhaps things would've been different. That's what I call FATE.
Assuming that this is true, this is so incredibly lucky for that fan that suffered a cardiac event, and after revealing that the fan was brought into the condition to travel to the hospital, it gives hope that they will be okay.
We continue sending our thoughts and prayers to that fan that they will be okay and get back to full health and to seeing their beloved Oilers soon.
