A possible suspension could be looming for Vegas Golden Knights' Nicolas Roy after a 5-minute major penalty for a dirty cross-check on Trent Frederic's face.

The second game of the series between the Edmonton Oilers and the Vegas Golden Knights was an action-packed one. Both teams played a physical style, and they each lost a key player in the game.
While the Golden Knights had to watch one of their most important defensemen, Brayden McNabb, walk down the tunnel after a dangerous hit from Oilers' Viktor Arvidsson in overtime, the Oilers had a scare when Trent Frederic went to the infirmary after a dangerous cross-check to the face from Golden Knights' Nicolas Roy.
Roy didn't hold back, hitting Frederic with strength right in the face with his stick. Frederic returned in overtime, while Roy got a five-minute major penalty and was ejected from the game.
Check out how it all happened:
The NHL is expected to make an official decision on the cross-check, but it would be surprising to see consequences other than a fine being imposed on Roy.
The League's Department of Player Safety should release a verdict later today. Make sure to stay tuned to get the latest details.
Meanwhile, the Oilers and the Golden Knights will prepare for the third clash of the series, set to go down tomorrow night. With all the physicality we saw in the first two games between both teams, it's safe to say that it should keep escalating going forward.
The Oilers will have an opportunity to push the Golden Knights only one defeat away from elimination tomorrow and will do all they can to make sure they achieve that goal, possibly becoming the first team to be only one win away from the Conference Finals.
Stay tuned for details regarding the third game between the Oilers and the Golden Knights and Nicolas Roy's fate after the dirty cross-check on Trent Frederic.
