Matthew Tkachuk loses his cool after Avalanche defender falls into his goalie
Matthew Tkachuk takes matters into his own hands and defends Sergei Bobrovsky after a Colorado Avalanche defender he falls into him.
There is a fierce battle between the Colorado Avalanche and the Florida Panthers. Both teams are keeping the game competitive. Now in the 3rd period 5-4 Panthers.
Early in the second period, there was an incident that kept tension between both teams high.
In an attempt to maintain pressure in the Panthers' defensive zone, Sam Girard of the Avalanche posted himself in front of the net, trying to screen Sergei Bobrovsky.
Matthew Tkachuk would respond in kind after Girard fell on Sergei Bobrovsky after the play ended. Despite grabbing hold of each other, neither player could land any significant punches, but the tension was palpable all the while.
All the while, Tkachuk would attempt to stand up for Bobrovky, and fail it shows how leaders perform. With Tkachuk struggling offensively this season he's been forced to showcase his abilities in other ways.
