It's no secret that Brad Marchand was enemy No. 1 in Florida for many years, and it appears that some of his new teammates haven't gotten over that yet.
The Florida Panthers acquired Brad Marchand at the trade deadline, and if anyone expected him to change on his new team, he made it clear early that it wasn't going to happen, as he quickly got to chirping his new teammates, especially Matthew Tkachuk.
With a team full of competitors, the former Boston Bruins captain is fitting in perfectly, and in the teams latest game, he tallied his first goal as a member of the Panthers as he helped them pick up a much needed win over the Detroit Red Wings.
There was plenty of joy on the ice and in the locker room, but after the game, veteran Evan Rodrigues had an amazing reaction when he was asked about Marchand's first goal with his new team.
This is the type of chirping that hasn't stopped since Marchand arrived in Florida from their former Atlantic Division rival, and unsurprisingly, Marchand was quick to react to the comment from Rodrigues, calling him a scumbag and saying that he's always hated him.
If teams could win a Stanley Cup based purely on the vibes and the fun they have in interviews, the Panthers would be a favourite, but on the ice they are as well, and if they can get healthy ahead of the Stanley Cup Playoffs with the additions of Nico Sturm, Marchand and Seth Jones, there are very few teams in the NHL that can match up to them in a seven game series.
