Paul Maurice has a deep team this season, but his message about the culture of this team shows why they are just that much better than the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The Florida Panthers have been to back-to-back Stanley Cup Finals, and that's something you can't do unless you have both star power in your lineup and sufficient depth that can produce in the post-season.
Head Coach Paul Maurice was asked about the depth ahead of Game 6 against the Toronto Maple Leafs, and his question went away from the product on the ice, but instead he harped on the culture that has been built in Florida over the past three years.
While he doesn't reference the Toronto Maple Leafs in his answer to this question, it shows the clear difference between the two franchises, as Toronto don't have the Championship qualities or the sufficient depth to play above their skillset night after night in the post-season.
On top of that, Maurice's teams know how to play with a lead, as a recent statistic reveals that they are a whopping 26-0 under Maurice when they lead after any period, and that goes back to the culture and wanting to fight for the player and the person next to you every night out.
Somehow, Maurice is yet to win a Jack Adams in his time with the Panthers, and that's something that fans are quickly recognizing isn't acceptable given the way he leads this organization.
While it's all well and good to have a great leader and a culture that promotes success, Maurice knows that Game 6 won't be an easy one, and he reveals the confidence he has in his teams comes from a 'desire advantage', which once again goes back to the culture.
We have a desire advantage, and they have a desperation advantage... Whoever controls those things the best has the best chance to win."
Ultimately, Game 6 is make or break for the Maple Leafs organization, and while they've got the talent, the culture just hasn't been set, and if they lose in this one, expect a major shift in the upcoming summer.
