Brad Marchand has been open about his desire to re-sign with the Florida Panthers, but should that prove to be impossible, one NHL insider believe he could head to the Vegas Golden Knights.

Bill Zito trading for Brad Marchand at the deadline this year may very well go down as one of the best trade deadline acquisitions in NHL history.
Marchand was slow to warm up to his new club, scoring just 4 points in 10 regular season games, but his production took off in the playoffs as he played a huge role in the team's success.
The pesty 37-year-old scored 10 goals and 20 points in 23 games, with three of those goals being game winners, two of which came in the finals.
Marchand has been vocal about wanting to re-sign with the Panthers, but the team's tight cap situation could make that difficult.
Should the Panthers not be able to come to an agreement with Marchand, he will immediately become one of the top free agents on the market, and given his age, he will certainly want to sign with a contender.
According to the Fourth Period, teams including the Leafs, Kings, Capitals, Hurricanes, and Golden Knights are interested in the former Bruins captain.
"If, however, talks fall apart and Marchand explores alternative options, he will have the pick of the Cup contending litter, as clubs like Toronto, Los Angeles, Washington, Carolina, Vegas and others will pursue him." -TheFourthPeriod

The team on that list that stands out is of course the Golden Knights, as they have also been linked to Maple Leafs star Mitch Marner.
Figuring out a way to add both Marner and Marchand would certainly require the Knights to move out a contract or two of their own, but the organization has shown time and time again that they are willing to do that.
Even if they do give up major pieces to make that happen, the Golden Knights would be a fearsome opponent in the playoffs with Marner and Marchand in their forward core.
