Sam Bennett is going to have plenty of suitors this off-season, and now, it appears as though the St. Louis Blues could be in play for the Panthers star forward.

The Florida Panthers are chasing their third straight Stanley Cup Finals and back-to-back Cups in 2025, but this off-season, their team may lose one of their key pieces in star forward Sam Bennett.
Bennett is set to be one of the biggest names on the board in free agency this off-season, and while he's already seemingly ruled out returning to Canada after beginning his career with the Calgary Flames, but outside of that, he's expected to have many suitors.
Now, another has emerged, as the St. Louis Blues are lining up to make a splash in free agency, with many believing they'll be connected to Mitch Marner, and in his latest comments, Jeremy Rutherford has linked the Blues to Bennett as well.
The St. Louis Blues have been linked to F Sam Bennett & F John Tavares, as they try to fill out their depth chart in hopes of being more of a contender next season. Per, Jeremy Rutherford.

He also lists Ryan O'Reilly, Shane Pinto, Marco Rossi, and Elias Pettersson as potential targets if the Blues wanted to go the trade route.

Rutherford DID say he thinks the Blues should avoid Pettersson, though.

According to Rutherford, the Blues will be targeting almost all of the top names available in free agency in hopes that they can land at least one star to boost their hopes after a promising 2024/25 campaign.
While he would likely be a good addition, some Blues fans have questioned if he is worth the money, especially after the recent reports that his next deal could come over $10 million.
Ultimately, he's going to get some big money this off-season, and whether it's the Blues or another team in America, someone is going to get the benefit of landing the Stanley Cup Champion.
