Over the course of February, the Kings have seen forwards Carl Grunstrom, Viktor Arvidsson and Adrian Kempe go down with injuries and General Manager Rob Blake is reportedly looking at bringing back a former Stanley Cup champion.
According to David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period, the Los Angeles Kings have interest in trading for Tyler Toffoli, who was drafted by them and won a Stanley Cup with the organization in 2014.
There's no guarantee either that the Devils will trade Tyler Toffoli. As Pagnotta mentions, they're only five points back of a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference and they would like to re-sign Toffoli, if possible.
Toffoli, 31, has appeared in 58 games this season for the New Jersey Devils where he's put up 42 points (25 goals, 17 assists), 12 penalty minutes and is a minus-11.
It'll be interesting to see what the New Jersey Devils decide to do over the next week and whether or not they'll move on from Tyler Toffoli. If they make the decision to trade him, there will be several teams interested in his services.
