The Montreal Canadiens have fallen in a 2-0 hole in their series against Washington, and now a young forward has called his team out for their play.

While the Montreal Canadiens came into their matchup with the Washington Capitals as underdogs, they've fought hard thus far, losing 3-2 in overtime and 3-1 in two games played in Washington.
Now, the series shifts to the Bell Centre, which notably has one of the best atmosphere's in all of hockey, and given what they've overcome in 2024/25, it's no surprise that Canadiens fans believe this team can get back into the series in Game's 3 and 4.
While there's been positives, the team simply haven't played well enough to put games away, and if they want to get back into the fight, Juraj Slafkovsky knows this team has to be better.
Everyone in here has got to be better.
After Game 2, the young Canadiens forward sent a clear and direct message to his teammates, and that is that they simply need to be better, whether that's being more physical or putting away the missed chances that they will rue after their Game 2 defeat.
With the help of the crowd in Montreal, there's a good chance this team can turn the tide in Game 3 and 4, but with just three goals scored across the two games thus far, it's clear that they need to figure out a way to beat Logan Thompson if they want a chance in this one.
That's much easier said than done, but this Montreal team has plenty of talent, and after overcoming the odds in 2024/25, if they can improve on home ice, then there's no reason why they can't make this a genuinely competitive series.
