The Columbus Blue Jackets made a surprising move on Friday, placing a former first-round pick on waivers with the hope he would clear and be assigned to the AHL. Well, that was not the case.
Foudy, 23, played his first full season in the National Hockey League in 2022-23, appearing in 62 games where he put up 14 points (seven goals, seven assists), eight penalty minutes and was a minus-26.
The 2018 18th overall pick's time with the Blue Jackets didn't go as many within the organization had hoped, but now Foudy will get a fresh start with the Nashville Predators in hopes of keeping his dream of being a full-time NHL alive.
