The Nashville Predators are placing a former first-round pick on waivers this afternoon.
Predators head coach Andrew Brunette confirmed on a radio show that Liam Foudy will be going on waivers at 2 p.m. ET.
"Tough coming in when we already have guys as the extra [player]. He brings speed and I'd like to see him go down there and get a little more finish and a little stronger. If he clears, I'm really excited to have him in the organization. I really like the kid and I really like his speed." Brunette said.
Foudy, 23, was selected 18th overall by the Columbus Blue Jackets in 2018 and was claimed off waivers in October by Nashville.
