New York Rangers new defensive prospects openly states how he try's to have an impact on all the other rookies around him within the organization.

Defensive prospect, Scott Morrow, was recently interviewed following the New York Rangers Rookie Series against their divisional rivals, the Philadelphia Flyers, on Friday and Saturday evening. During this interview he opened up on how he try's to be leader for the other prospects.
The 22-year old prospect is truly making a impact on and off the ice as a leader for the New York Rangers organization. Something i don't think many fans seen coming considering he had only joined the Rangers in July, as he was part of the K'Andre Miller trade.

Scott Morrow Takes Pride In Leadership Role With The New York Rangers

However, during the Rookie Series, Morrow was named and served as an assistant captain despite his short time with the organization. This was clearly something Morrow thought was special and looks forward to being a leader for the other prospect.
«It's incredibly special. Having the A (assistant captain) is pretty cool,» Morrow said during a recent interview. «It just shows that my hard work gets noticed. I obviously have some pro experience. I try to be a leader for these guys, show them the ropes and how you are supposed to play.»

Throughout the two Rookie Series games against the Philadelphia Flyers, Scott Morrow managed to tally one goal and three assist for a total of four points. Pretty impressive numbers for being a defenseman.
Coming into the New York Rangers rookie training camp, Morrow also stated that he wanted to make the best first impression and this certainly helped his case.
Scott Morrow: "Honestly, I'm not focused on the outcome of camp as much as just the process of being in my second year pro now, trying to show how much I've grown, trying to show a brand new organization what kind of player I am. Obviously, they traded for me, so they obviously see something in me. I just want to make the best first impression that I can."
Moving forward he will return to camp and compete for a spot on the Rangers opening-night roster just like every other prospect.
