New York Rangers Young Forward Officially Ruled Out For The Remainder Of The Season

Despite having a loaded forward group (which has now been changed immensely after many trades), Kaliyev was someone that could thrive next to a much better group, with optimism high for his time in New York.
In 13 games with the team, Kaliyev has three goals and four points alongside a +2 differential, and with an intimidating 6-foot-2 frame, this looked to be the start of a great campaign for the 23-year old.
Unfortunately, insider Mollie Walker has now confirmed the worst, revealing that Kaliyev will miss the remainder of the 2024/25 season as well as the Stanley Cup Playoffs with an upper-body injury.
Before this announcement, Kaliyev had played just one game since February 23rd with the collar bone injury, and while the team held out hope he could return at some point, that unfortunately didn't happen as he's now ruled out.
This leaves plenty of new faces in the bottom-six for New York, as they'll now rely on Matt Rempe,
Brett Berard and
Brennan Othmann among others to produce for them in the biggest moments of the year, with this entire roster looking different to what we saw at the start of the year.
As for Kaliyev, injuries have held him back in his career thus far, but at 23-years of age there's plenty of time to turn that around, so hopefully he can get back on the ice next season and find a permanent role for himself on this Rangers team.
