The New York Rangers are expected to shake things up in the 2025 off-season, and now it appears just four players are safe from a potential overhaul.

After a President's Trophy win in 2023/24, the New York Rangers looked to take the final step towards a Stanley Cup this season, but as the post-season begins, the blueshirts are no where to be seen.
That comes on the back of a season full of drama off the ice and inconsistencies on it, and with the team believing they have the nucleus of a genuine contender, they'll look to make some changes in the summer.
Not only that, but it has now been revealed that the team were trying to move Chris Kreider at the trade deadline, but the team believed the return in the summer would be much greater.
"... I believe Drury intended to try and trade Kreider before the trade deadline before reevaluating and coming to the conclusion that he would probably have a better chance of getting value back for Kreider if he waited until the summer"
Reporter Phil Kocher didn't stop there however, as he believes a full-on overhaul is on the way, and if it is, he's name dropped the only four players he believes would be safe from that.
"The only guys I would say with some certainty I think would be back next year ... are Igor Shesterkin, Adam Fox, J.T. Miller ... and Vincent Trocheck. Beyond that, there isn't all that much that would surprise me."
While the team aren't likely to trade all of their big stars, at least two of K'Andre Miller, Kreider, Mika Zibanejad and Artemi Panarin could be on the way out, and if done right, the Rangers could bounce back in 2025/26.
For now though, they'll sit and watch their rivals in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, and with some huge decisions to make over the summer, it's going to be a very interesting few months in the Big Apple.
