When the Toronto Maple Leafs made the announcement on Friday that they had officially parted ways with Kyle Dubas, it shocked many in the hockey world. The decision came as a shock to Toronto Maple Leafs fans especially, as rumors had swirled that Dubas had been offered a 5-year deal as recently as Wednesday. Fast forward two days and the club and General Manager were parting ways.
Dubas deal with the Club doesn't expire until June 30th, but that hasn't stopped clubs from reaching out. But according to Luke Fox, Dubas has his eyes set on joining another Canadian team. According to Fox, Dubas has real interest in joining the Ottawa Senators once their sale is finalized and they've parted ways with current General Manager, Pierre Dorion.
