Philadelphia Pulls Former First-Rounder Off the Trade Block
Signed to an eight-year deal that kicks in next season, things didn't go well in 2022-23 for a former Philadelphia Flyers first round pick. Travis Sanheim, who found himself as a healthy scratch a couple of time last year, was indeed placed on the trading block by Flyers GM Danny Briere at the end of the season. However, it seems he's had a change of heart.
"I don't imagine him being moved at this point," said Briere.
"But at the same time you listen. Like I said before, it's my duty to listen. Nothing really made sense at this point."
"Obviously now he has a no-trade clause and we're going to respect that."

Sanheim's no-trade clause, along with a contract paying him $6.25 million per season, kicked in on July 1st. The first four years of the deal give Sanheim a full no-trade clause, while the final four gets him a 12-team no trade list.
Sanheim, drafted 17th overall in 2014, will have a chance to redeem himself in the upcoming season, especially with a much different looking blueline for the Flyers. Veteran Marc Staal was brought in, while the always controversial Tony DeAngelo appears to be on his way out as soon as a trade is finalized.
