The Philadelphia Flyers have plenty of draft capital, and according to Elliotte Friedman, they could be a team to watch for a major offer sheet.
This season hasn't been a good one for the Philadelphia Flyers, and after they fired Head Coach John Tortorella, they head into the 2025 off-season with plenty of questions to answer.
On the latest edition of the 32 Thoughts podcast, Elliotte Friedman pointed out the Flyers depth of draft picks, and suggested that there are teams around the league looking at them as a potential offer sheet threat in the coming months.
"Philly has in 2026, they have their 1st, they have their 2nd, they have their 3rd, they have their 4th, they have 7 draft picks in the first two rounds this year...Teams are starting to look around and saying, is that going to be the offer sheet team this year?"
Notable RFA's around the league this off-season include Mason McTavish, Marco Rossi, Noah Dobson, Jake Oettinger and even Morgan Frost, a player the Flyers just traded, so while the unrestricted free agency market will be a much better way to add talent to their team, don't discount the Flyers shocking the NHL with an offer sheet this off-season.
