It's been a big day off the ice for a handful of teams around the National Hockey League that missed the 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

First up, the Penguins fired Brian Burke and Ron Hextall, then the Ducks announced that Head Coach Dallas Eakins, who was on an expiring contract, will not return to Anaheim next season.

Now, the St. Louis Blues are the latest team to announce changes to their coaching staff. The Blues have fired long-time NHLer Craig MacTavish after only one season as an Assistant Coach. They've also fired Assistant Coach Mike Van Ryan, who was with the Blues for five seasons and was behind the bench as they won their first Stanley Cup in franchise history in 2019.

In their press release, the Blues added that Assistant Coach Steve Ott and Goaltending Coach David Alexander will remain on the team's coaching staff for the 2023-24 season, along with Video Coach Darryl Seward and Video Coordinator Elliott Mondou. It was interesting to see that Craig Berube was not mentioned among those listed above, but the expectation is that he will still be the Blues' head coach going into the 2023-24 season.
