In a few months from now, hockey fans will be blessed with the 4 Nations Face-Off, and Toronto Maple Leafs fans will be happy to know that three of the team's stars have made the cut.
This four-team tournament will include Team Canada, Team USA, Team Sweden, and Team Finland.
It is a friendly international tournament that is mostly for bragging rights, and fans have been curious to see how all of this is going to end up playing out.
Today, the rosters for these teams were announced and they are certainly very interesting.
Of course, Maple Leafs fans have been interested to see which players would ultimately end up making the final roster.
As it turns out, three Toronto Maple Leafs stars are going to the tournament. Between them, they will represent three different teams.
Auston Matthews for Team USA
As expected, Auston Matthews will be front and center playing for Team USA, which certainly has a very deep roster.
Mitch Marner for Team Canada
Meanwhile, Mitch Marner was selected for Team Canada. However, in the process, John Tavares and Morgan Rielly were snubbed.
William Nylander for Team Sweden
Lastly, but certainly not least, we got to see William Nylander on Team Sweden, which also has a pretty deep squad, all things considered.
At this stage, Canada and the United States are the favorites to win it all right now, but Finland and Sweden could certainly be dangerous.
With that being said, it should be very interesting to watch this all go down. We wish our Maple Leafs stars the best of luck.
